Pounding of heartbeat.
feeling faint, lightheaded, or vertiginous
feeling extremely hot or very cold
sweating, trembling or shaking
nausea (feeling sick)
pain in chest or abdomen
breathing heavily or experiencing a feeling of choking.
Experiencing a trembling or jelly like sensation in legs.
Having a panic attack can be confusing, it is at times similar to what a heart attack feels like! It lasts for a few minutes but you can carry it’s impact for a longer duration.
You might feel this way when triggered in a stressful situation or sometimes when your body is generally overwhelmed. It’s common, yes! But it’s not normal. Visit a mental health professional who will help you deal with symptoms of panic attacks!
